The Chief Rabbi of the Czech Lands and of Prague is Karol Ephraim Sidon.
The Rabbinate offices are located at the Jewish Community of Prague’s headquarters at Maiselova 18,Prague1. The Rabbinate is responsible for the religious life of the Community. The tasks of its staff include arranging regular religious services on weekdays and holidays, providing education on Judaism, and arranging for brit milah, weddings, bar mitzvah celebrations and funerals. The Rabbinate also runs the mikveh and is responsible for kashrut supervision.
Old-New Synagogue: Kabbalat Shabbat and Maariv services are held every Friday evening, one hour before dusk, Shacharit every Saturday morning beginning at9 a.m. From May till August Kabbalat Shabat and Maariv start at 8.00 p.m. Weekday Maariv starts at 7.30 p.m.
The Old-New Synagogue is located on the corner of Maiselova and Červena streets.
High Synagogue: Services are held here every day. Shacharit starts at 8.30 a.m., Mincha at 2 p.m.
The High Synagogue is located at Maiselova 18, Prague1, the Jerusalem Synagogue at Jeruzalémská 7,Prague 1.
Jerusalem (Jubilee) Synagogue: Shacharit starts at9 a.m. on Saturdays and holidays
